The 35 events of December take place between days 1 and 14, which is a revealing of a very high public presentation activity. Note that this is also a period coinciding with exams and assessments of students.
Among the events stand out the Concerts of students of the Instrumental Professional Course, on Friday, at 8.30 pm at the Conservatory's Noble Hall. These concerts usually have a full house and the public is mostly tourists, who already contact the Conservatory by e-mail about the event schedule so they can schedule their vacation visits in this period. The first of these concerts takes place on November 9 and runs until December 14.
The core auditions take place in a decentralized manner in areas such as Santana, Machico, Santa Cruz, Camacha, Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava, São Vicente, Ponta do Sol, Calheta and Funchal. These auditions are important and unique moments in the process of teaching and learning in the performative arts, with special focus in the area of ??music, reverting in moments of public presentation that allow to measure and improve the skills related to the musical hearing and interpretation of the students . To the educational community and the general public, it provides them with a substantial knowledge of what is being done at the core of art education. Between November and December there are 13 student hearings.
In addition to the above-mentioned events, the FCT's (Work Setting Formations) of the students of the Professional Courses of Instrumentalists, which take place in the Porto Mare Hotel, in a pedagogical partnership with the Porto Bay hotel group, are also highlighted. Hotel Porto Mare.
The Dance and Theater are represented in this plan, with open classes and theater exercises, respectively, both open to the public.
