In the oldest Madeira Wine cellars, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, you can see documents of the English companies that created the Madeira Wine Company, books and machinery testifying the old days of Madeira Wine production, as well as a 17th century mill.
In this space there is a tasting room where you can enjoy an interesting painting by the Austrian painter Max Rommer who lived in Madeira between 1920 and 1950. These cellars, which also arouse interest in the baroque civil architecture, also has warehouses, convenience store and an exhibit area.
Opening hours:Monday to Friday - 10.00 to 18.30 h Saturday - 10.00 to 13.00 h.
